How to Complete the Add a Product Form

Follow these steps to complete the Add a Product Form

1. Complete the Add a Product Section

Required fields are marked with a red asterisk *.

• GTIN *: Enter the product's GTIN number (globally unique barcode). Each product variation needs a unique GTIN.
• Product Name *: Enter the product’s name.
• Product Description *: Provide details such as size and color.
• Category: Choose the category and subcategory (e.g., "Clothing" > "Men's Clothes").
• Brand *: Enter the brand or company name.
• SKU *: SKUs are unique identifiers created by your business for inventory tracking. Example: SHRT-BLU-LRG for a large blue shirt. If unavailable, type "N/A".
• Main Image: Upload a product image (optional).
• Image URL: Alternatively, provide an image URL to use instead of uploading.
• Choose a Default Link *: Select the default link users see upon scanning the 2D barcode (e.g., Product Information Page).

2. Complete the Product Links Section

• Link Type: Choose a link type (e.g., "Product Information Page"). Learn more about Link Types or view the List of Link Types.
• URL: Enter the webpage URL for the link, usually on your site.
• Content Type: Choose the content type (e.g., "Web Page").
• Language: Select the content language.
• Add More Product Links: Click "Add More" to include additional product links.
• Choose a Default Link *: Select the link users are directed to by default when they scan your 2D Barcode.

Setting up Link Types in Different Languages: To provide content in multiple languages, create separate language-specific pages for each link type on your website. The 2D Barcode will then direct users to the page matching their language preference. For example, if you have two Product Information Pages—one in English and one in Portuguese—add each URL as a separate link: "Link 1: Product Information Page, Language: English" and "Link 2: Product Information Page, Language: Portuguese." Set one of these as the 'default link' (e.g., Product Information Page in English). When someone scans the 2D Barcode, they will be directed to the Product Information Page in Portuguese if their device language is set to Portuguese. 3. Click the "Submit Product" Button

4. Check the Resolver Status

Resolver Status: Not Submitted – You’re still in the process of adding a new product. Once you click "Submit Product," the status will update.

Resolver Status: Successfully Sent – The product was successfully added. Example: “Successfully sent 00710497234825 to https://id.ibn.link digital link resolver.”

5. View Product Details & Download 2D Barcode

View all added products in the Dashboard > Your Products section. Here, you can download each product's 2D Barcode, edit product info, or update links as needed. The 2D Barcode image remains the same, while the linked information can be updated at any time.
